]]> March 2012 – The Menomonee Valley Passage & Hank Aaron State Trail project received the 2012 Milwaukee Award for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) for public space that contributes to the well-being of community, the 2011 Engineering Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for projects ranging between $2 and $10 million, the 2011 Milwaukee Mayor’s Design Award, and a 2010 Top Project by the Daily Reporter. Marek Landscaping completed the riverbank vegetation inventories, land restoration plan, and landscape design & specifications and worked on the stormwater BMPs and ravine design as part of an engineering design team.
