]]> On March 24th, a group of graduate students from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences came to Marek Landscaping, LLC’s office for a tour of our administrative and design offices and our shop. We also gave an overview of our services and projects to show the students how Marek integrates ecology, stewardship, landscape architecture and construction into our practice and our projects. ]]> August 19, 2014 – The Friends of the Monarch Trail are inviting the public to celebrate the importance of preserving monarch habitat to allow the species to survive and thrive. Marek Landscaping has been working on the Habitat Protection Area with the UW-Milwaukee Field Station at the Milwaukee County Grounds for the past 5 years in this effort. Sunday’s event, which runs from 4pm-7pm, will feature guided tours of the Monarch Trail, educational displays, live traditional Irish music, food, and the touring dance project “Moving for Monarchs“.
