Landscape Construction Foreman
Marek Landscaping, LLC is a design-build firm founded in 1996 that provides sustainable design, construction, and stewardship of the land. Our focus is on natural areas management, shoreline stabilizations, green infrastructure, trails, and parks. With low-impact design methods, we use native plants and natural materials to design, construct, and support ecologically functional systems for public, private, and NGO clients. Current projects include custom hardscaping, green infrastructure, bluff, shoreline, and wetland restorations for large public projects, non-profits, and private residences.

We are currently seeking a Landscape Construction Foreman to:
- Direct, supervise, and work with field crew to complete residential and commercial hardscape and softscape projects including natural stone, permeable pavers, retaining walls, planting, seeding, and bluff stabilization and erosion control projects.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, tractors, chainsaws, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Manage time, productivity, project budgets, and material record keeping.
- Maintain and repair mechanical and power equipment.
- Load trucks and expedite crew on daily basis.
- Maintain high standard of quality and safety amongst crews and equipment, enforce OSHA & safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience, as a landscape foreman managing and conducting residential and commercial hardscape and softscape projects.
- Minimum of 5 years experience, operating equipment including skid steers, compact excavators, tractors, chain saws, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with crew and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients in order to meet project deadlines.
- Must be a self-starting, take-charge individual with strong motivation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, often on uneven ground and steep slopes, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs continuously throughout the day.
- Category 3.0 Lawn and Ornamental Pesticide Applicator certification or ability to obtain certification within first month.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents.
- Prescribed fire training preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Current and clean Wisconsin Driver’s License, CDL a plus.
